Adventure Cottage at Captain Cooks Haven
Captain Cook's Haven is beautifully set on two levels nestling beside the banks of the River Esk as it winds its way from the rugged beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors towards the bustling seaside resort of Whitby just a mile away.
These cottages offer an ideal touring centre for exploring the nearby fishing villages sandy bays and seaside resorts. You enjoy the use of a superb indoor heated swimming pool and alongside the pool is an exciting playground for children of all ages.
The historic city of York Castle Howard and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park are also within easy reach.
The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway also runs from Whitby to Pickering and passes Captain Cook's Haven.
Enjoy a ride or walk along the old railway track towards Robin Hood's Bay 6 miles.

We would thoroughly recommend this holiday to both couples and families. You can also take your dog as there are many nice places to walk. The park was very peaceful and placed in beautiful settings. It is a really nice idea having a key to the swimming pool meaning you can swim when you like and there was rarely anyone in there it was almost like having your own private pool. The location is excellent to get into Whitby you can either walk across the viaduct and through the wooded walk or just walk the main road. The staff are very helpful nothing is too much trouble. We keep coming back to Captain Cook's Haven because of the location of the park and the on-site facilities such as swimming pool and play areas. It is also quiet and safe which is ideal with a young family. Mrs R
