Commanding an impressive location overlooking the picturesque Wigtown Bay and with direct access to a secluded sandy beach Auchenlarie is ideal for an active family holiday or peaceful and relaxing short break.

This beautifully landscaped park also boasts its very own Health Club complete with indoor pool gym sauna and solarium. The local area boasts historic castles and houses through to scenic forest and hill walks plus over 30 golf courses and fishing all within easy reach.

If you are looking for a quieter pace there is a superb restaurant and a choice of two different bars. Alternatively you can simply relax in the comfort of your own holiday home and savour the superb sea views and beautiful scenery.

Due to the steep gradients and steps the park is not suitable for wheelchair users and those people with mobility difficulties.

Although the park was extensive and well populated with caravans and chalets it did not seem overcrowded. It was as the brochure said a hilly park but this also meant most caravans had a magnificent outlook. Mr B

The site is well situated for travelling around the Solway Coast. The site is extremely clean and well cared for. The evening entertainment is excellent for young and old alike. The food served in the bar is very good (apart from overcooked veggies although that seems to be the case everywhere in the area!) The people are all friendly. I would recommend a top of the range caravan though as the silver III was very basic and tired looking. Mrs J

We had been to three haven parks prior to this holiday but they were not a patch on Aucenlarie holiday park. we would definately recommend or book a family holiday again at this park. Mr B

This is a wonderful location with plenty of interesting places to visit within a short driving distance. The views over the bay were beautiful and it was lovely watching the rabbits playing all evening. The bistro on the park was nice as was the friendliness of the staff and in fact in the whole area that we visited! Mrs L

We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. When we arrived we were overcome by how many caravans were on site and all had decking! This was a bonus as we could appreciate relaxing with home comforts at hand without having to take everything down to the beach. The site was immaculate and very well maintained. The nicest thing was the rabbits which were totally at ease and free to roam all around! The baby ones were adorable! I would recommend Auchenlarie Caravan Park to everyone. It is fantastic and the location and scenery is fantastic. Ms D
