It nestles in grounds of natural woodland sloping down to the shores of Windermere where there are boat launching facilities. Only 5 miles from the lively village of Bowness Avon Wood is an ideal base for touring the National Park stately homes and market towns. The park is in a lovely location quiet and relaxing and the cabins have everything you need nothing is too much trouble highly recommended. The holiday was excellent! Very quiet if we wanted it to be on the site or 5 miles away in Bowness there was all the shopping entertainment and eating out anyone could want. The walks in the area were fantastic! We didn't want to leave and have already booked the same park for next year! Mrs C
