This was by a long way the best holiday we've had in years. A good clean park and accommodation quiet surroundings with lots of hidden paths and play areas. No nightlife on site (a big plus when you have small children). Our two children (aged 18 months and 4 years) adored all the facilities especially the swimming pool and the well equipped and mostly free sports hall which kept them amused for hours. During the whole week we only felt the need to go off site once. The rest of the time was spent just enjoying ourselves in this idyllic little hideaway. Mrs W
The site seems really safe to wander through. Everyone is very friendly: the people in the neighbouring lodge rescued our drying towels from the veranda rail putting them in a sheltered position when the rain came on. We really enjoyed the crazy golf and the archery session was very good value entertaining and instructive.The weather was kind to us but if it was very wet Sherwood is near plenty of attractions to enjoy. We visited D.H. Lawrence's birthplace Newark and Hardwick Hall all well worth a visit. Mrs G
