Captain Cook's Haven is beautifully set on two levels nestling beside the banks of the River Esk as it winds its way from the rugged beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors towards the bustling seaside resort of Whitby just a mile away.
These cottages offer an ideal touring centre for exploring the nearby fishing villages sandy bays and seaside resorts. You enjoy the use of a superb indoor heated swimming pool and alongside the pool is an exciting playground for children of all ages.
The historic city of York Castle Howard and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park are also within easy reach.
The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway also runs from Whitby to Pickering and passes Captain Cook's Haven.
Enjoy a ride or walk along the old railway track towards Robin Hood's Bay 6 miles.

We usually always go abroad for our holidays but this year we had a break from all that and chose Whitby. We all had a great time there are loads and loads of lovely scenery beautiful places if you like walking and Hoseasons Captain Cooks 'Heaven' is in the most beautiful setting we had a great holiday and will definitely book again next year! Would recommend this park for a stress free relaxing holiday. Very quiet peaceful location only a short drive to places of interest Whitby Goathland (Heartbeat) Scarborough North Yorkshire Moors railway. And beautiful scenery go walking over the Moors or drive to beauty spots and watch the world go by while admiring the views. Go back in time at Pickering and go for a journey on the steam train. Returning to the tranquility of the park for an evening stroll or a quiet night in. Mr M

The accommodation is very handy for getting in to Whitby. Whitby itself is full of interest with its connections with Captain Cook whaling and fossils. Lots to do and lots of scenic coastline round about. Mrs J

This is a gorgous site - lovely and quite but familys are welcome. We where very impressed with the cottages and the provisions inc. especially with a baby everything was perfect!! the veiw was amazing and a great location to either whitby or scarbourgh. Miss K
