Captain Cook's Haven is beautifully set on two levels nestling beside the banks of the River Esk as it winds its way from the rugged beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors towards the bustling seaside resort of Whitby just a mile away.
These cottages offer an ideal touring centre for exploring the nearby fishing villages sandy bays and seaside resorts. You enjoy the use of a superb indoor heated swimming pool and alongside the pool is an exciting playground for children of all ages.
The historic city of York Castle Howard and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park are also within easy reach.
The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway also runs from Whitby to Pickering and passes Captain Cook's Haven.
Enjoy a ride or walk along the old railway track towards Robin Hood's Bay 6 miles.

We have been coming to captain cookes haven for about 12 years now and each time found it to be of a very high standard of accomodationits a quiet place with a lovely clean pool. Ideal for touring the north yorkshire coast. Visited in July and taking relatives from newzealand there in september for a visit. Mrs W
The setting is fabulous and so peaceful. The area is beautiful and so easy to get to many other places of interest like Scarborough Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby itself. The cottages are lovely home from home and great for our first family holiday with our baby. The pool is a great addition too. We had a fabulous time and would come back ! Mrs S

A beautiful location and the walk over the viaduct into Whitby was very enjoyable with lovely views over the holiday village. Captain Cooks Haven is an ideal base for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Heartbeat country and Whitby. This was our second visit and we were blessed with dry sunny weather all week.
