Captain Cook's Haven is beautifully set on two levels nestling beside the banks of the River Esk as it winds its way from the rugged beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors towards the bustling seaside resort of Whitby just a mile away.
These cottages offer an ideal touring centre for exploring the nearby fishing villages sandy bays and seaside resorts. You enjoy the use of a superb indoor heated swimming pool and alongside the pool is an exciting playground for children of all ages.
The historic city of York Castle Howard and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park are also within easy reach.
The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway also runs from Whitby to Pickering and passes Captain Cook's Haven.
Enjoy a ride or walk along the old railway track towards Robin Hood's Bay 6 miles.

A beautiful location and the walk over the viaduct into Whitby was very enjoyable with lovely views over the holiday village. Captain Cooks Haven is an ideal base for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Heartbeat country and Whitby. This was our second visit and we were blessed with dry sunny weather all week. I really enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and swam every morning before we went out for the day. Mrs R

The location is spectacular - Larpool Viaduct is a most impressive backdrop and provides a quick and scenic walk into Whitby. North Yorkshire Moors Railway close by is another plus obviously popular among other residents too! The accommodation is superb a real home from home - peaceful relaxing - and Whitby is full of possibilities! Mr L
