Captain Cook's Haven is beautifully set on two levels nestling beside the banks of the River Esk as it winds its way from the rugged beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors towards the bustling seaside resort of Whitby just a mile away.
These cottages offer an ideal touring centre for exploring the nearby fishing villages sandy bays and seaside resorts. You enjoy the use of a superb indoor heated swimming pool and alongside the pool is an exciting playground for children of all ages.
The historic city of York Castle Howard and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park are also within easy reach.
The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway also runs from Whitby to Pickering and passes Captain Cook's Haven.
Enjoy a ride or walk along the old railway track towards Robin Hood's Bay 6 miles.

We have been coming to captain cookes haven for about 12 years now and each time found it to be of a very high standard of accomodationits a quiet place with a lovely clean pool. The accommodation is very handy for getting in to Whitby. Whitby itself is full of interest with its connections with Captain Cook whaling and fossils. Lots to do and lots of scenic coastline round about. Mrs J

Would recommend this park for a stress free relaxing holiday. Very quiet peaceful location only a short drive to places of interest Whitby Goathland (Heartbeat) Scarborough North Yorkshire Moors railway. And beautiful scenery go walking over the Moors or drive to beauty spots and watch the world go by while admiring the views. Go back in time at Pickering and go for a journey on the steam train. Returning to the tranquility of the park for an evening stroll or a quiet night in. Mr M

Captain Cook's Haven is a really quiet pretty and secluded park - ideal for a relaxing break away from it all but equally handy for exploring the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside. Mrs P
