Endeavour Cottage 4 at Captain Cooks Haven

Captain Cook's Haven is beautifully set on two levels nestling beside the banks of the River Esk as it winds its way from the rugged beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors towards the bustling seaside resort of Whitby just a mile away.

These cottages offer an ideal touring centre for exploring the nearby fishing villages sandy bays and seaside resorts. You enjoy the use of a superb indoor heated swimming pool and alongside the pool is an exciting playground for children of all ages.

The historic city of York Castle Howard and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park are also within easy reach.

The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway also runs from Whitby to Pickering and passes Captain Cook's Haven.

Enjoy a ride or walk along the old railway track towards Robin Hood's Bay 6 miles.

We usually always go abroad for our holidays but this year we had a break from all that and chose Whitby. We all had a great time there are loads and loads of lovely scenery beautiful places if you like walking and Hoseasons Captain Cooks 'Heaven' is in the most beautiful setting we had a great holiday and will definitely book again next year! Captain Cooks Haven is a small clean and well kept park next to the river Esk. It has a small indoor swiming pool which you can use all year round the park is a short walk to Whitby and is also dog friendly. Mr H

Excellent accomodation with all the little extra touches that you wouldn't necessarily expect such as CD & DVD player with a selection of DVD's & Cd's and also well equiped kitchen and very comfortable. The facilities were also excellent including a nice indoor pool and a play area right outside cottage door for the kids to play in safety and within view. Mr M
