This David Bellamy Gold Award winning park is situated in a peaceful location between Matlock and Bakewell in the Derbyshire Dales and only 5 miles from Chatsworth House. This is an ideal spot from which to explore the moors dales and picturesque villages and towns of the Peak District one of the most popular National Parks in the world.

The Evolution Leisure Centre includes a large indoor swimming pool gym spa steam room and sauna as well as massage and beauty therapy facilities.

A state of the art indoor children's play zone - brand new for 2010 - will provide hours of fun and entertainment for younger children.

Darwin Forest is a lovely park and the lodges are spaced out so you don't feel surrounded by people. The swimming pool is fabulous and the food and welcome at the Forresters Inn was very good. All in all a great place for a holiday with kids - lots to do in the local area but lots to on site to come back to. Mrs. R
