Beside the pretty seaside village of Kippford this beautiful park boasts a rare red squirrel population and a David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. Adjoining the park are play areas bluebell woodlands forests and coastal trails and a 9-hole golf course. Trout and coarse fishing and 16km of world class cycle tracks are also on the doorstep.

Just 15 minutes' stroll away is the pretty seaside village of Kippford with two pubs chandlery public slipway and a sand/shingle beach with spectacular views.

The kitchen appliances and equipment were of a good standard and the style range and quality of the crockery glassware and cooking utensils was excellent. I feel it provided a much better standard of living accommodation than many self catering accommodation places that I have stayed in the past and had the added advantage of being in a lovely environment.
