This David Bellamy Gold Award winning park is situated in a peaceful location between Matlock and Bakewell in the Derbyshire Dales and only 5 miles from Chatsworth House. This is an ideal spot from which to explore the moors dales and picturesque villages and towns of the Peak District one of the most popular National Parks in the world.

The Evolution Leisure Centre includes a large indoor swimming pool gym spa steam room and sauna as well as massage and beauty therapy facilities.

A state of the art indoor children's play zone - brand new for 2010 - will provide hours of fun and entertainment for younger children.

I am now going to recommend this type of holiday to all my friends. We all loved it - my husband my boys aged 14 and 12 and even the dog. I wpuld recommend Darwin Forest Country Park due to the little (but important) touches i.e nice towels toilet rolls washing up liquid tea-towels etc. Also the ease to hire a BBQ and the general helpfulness and friendliness of all staff concerned. Mrs H
