This David Bellamy Gold Award winning park is situated in a peaceful location between Matlock and Bakewell in the Derbyshire Dales and only 5 miles from Chatsworth House. This is an ideal spot from which to explore the moors dales and picturesque villages and towns of the Peak District one of the most popular National Parks in the world.

The Evolution Leisure Centre includes a large indoor swimming pool gym spa steam room and sauna as well as massage and beauty therapy facilities.

A state of the art indoor children's play zone - brand new for 2010 - will provide hours of fun and entertainment for younger children.

We always enjoy our holidays at Darwin Forest because it is a well kept park and it gives us the opportunity to see the naturalness of the wildlife plus the chance to have a short stroll after the evening meal and a drop into the Forresters pub. I have visited Darwin Forest park 3 times over the years and this time I could see a lot of work has been done to the upgrading of the park making it very much more enjoyable. I recommend it everytime for a relaxing and stress free holiday - my grandchildren enjoy it also. Mrs B

It was such a lovely place peaceful but still with plenty to do and see. The Foresters Restaurant was brilliant we ate in there every night and was impressed every time. The ladies on reception were more than helpful and really cheerful even at the end of the day - thanks and well done to them! Mrs B

We found Darwin Forest to be an ideal location for our holiday. Our cabin was clean and tidy and the walks in the wooded areas were excellent for dogs. The swimming pool was clean and bright and staff throughout the complex were pleasant and helpful to us. Mrs R

An excellent location near to Matlock Bakewell and Chatsworth. A quiet park and the pool is wonderful. I didn't take my dog but plenty of people had and it was certainly a good location for dog walking. Mrs W
