This makes a great all round base for touring with open countryside and cities waiting to be explored. You will find a host of scenic and historic attractions.

For those not wanting to venture too far the park offers a wide range of facilities to suit all ages and all tastes.

Shops are just 2 miles away and the immediate area has many good restaurants and inns. A car is advisable to get the most from your holiday.

We as a family really enjoyed our stay. It is great for family bonding as there is no entertainment bar or restaurant on site - we learnt how to just relax and unwind in front of the roaring fire in our pj's. It was very enjoyable and we would definitely go back. Mrs M
