It was so peaceful fantastic scenery and walks round the lake 5 mins down the road we live in a busy town so was nice to leave it all behind for a few days next time i will be staying longer wonderfull and the staff were fantastic. Mrs H

A relaxing and peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings. Rufford park is only a 5 minute walk where there are ducks to feed and an adventure playground opening in April 2008 so we just missed it but it looks great with a lovely tea room. The park itself was well equipped for both good and bad weather with indoor play facilities for all ages. The lodge had a log burner so there was no need for extra heating. We will be going again - a great holiday! Mr H
A beautiful location with stunning scenery and fabulous log cabins the very nice swimming pool and the inclosed play areas were brilliant. It was a real treat for my daughter to walk through the woods to find different rope swings and play areas. The archery was a wonderful feature the on-site shop was very handy and the huge Tesco store 5 minutes away made it my favorite holiday destination by far. Mrs B
Our latest holiday in Sherwood forest was a good base for exploring different parts of the countryside. We were only 45 minutes away from the Peak District and other main attractions. Mr R
The holiday park was in a beautiful setting and convenient for many local attractions a great location for walkers and cyclists of all ages and definitely lots for the children to do. We will definitely be going again but next time our stay will be longer! Mrs P

If you just want to chill out this is the place! Rufford Abbey is excellent and the coffee shop and Sunday lunch was brilliant! Mrs M
