Woodpecker 4 at Quarry Walk

A haven for wildlife and visitors alike this park sits in 46 peaceful acres of woodland grass and heather. Set off the beaten track the log cabins sit amidst tranquil woodland trails and an abundance of flora and fauna.

Just 6 miles from Uttoxeter with its race course and situated between Alton and Cheadle Quarry Walk is a perfect base for touring the area known as 'the Potteries'. An astounding number of visitor attractions await within a 10-mile radius including Alton Towers Dovedale Valley and Shugborough Hall. Cycle hire and boat trips are available along the Calden Canal and rock climbing hang gliding and boating at Rudyard Reservoir. Launderette* shop and barbecue area on site available for all dates.

I would recommend this holiday if you require peace and quiet the standard of the accomodation was excellent as me and my partner booked this park merely to chill out and chill out we certainly did..especially the hot tub (would recommend anyone to ask for the hot tub with a covered patio as it can be used when raining) Mr S

A fantastic place to go on holiday and relax. The lodge was very clean with all mod cons and the staff were very helpful. The hot tub was magnificent and very peaceful with the woodland surrounding. A great base to explore the surrounding area and only 15 minutes from Alton Towers - we are looking forward to our next visit! Mr C

The Woodpecker Lodge we stayed in was extremely delightful. A real sense of privacy was felt which was a definite requirement. The facilities are delightful throughout the lodge which makes your stay there a real delight. It is within easy reach of attractions such as Alton Towers and the various interest points of the Peak District. I would highly recommend this to anyone fancying time away. Mr R
